This policy explains what information Uzhavan Choice, a brand of Sri Amman Trading and Industries ("we", "us"), collects when you use this website or become our customer, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Information we collect

When you send an enquiry

The "What does your farm need?" form asks for:

  • your name and mobile number;
  • your farm location, crop, farm size and what you would like to automate;
  • any message you add, and how you prefer to be contacted (call or WhatsApp).

You can also contact us directly by phone, WhatsApp or email; we then receive the details you share.

When you become our customer

To survey, quote, install and service your system, we keep:

  • your name, mobile number and address;
  • your field locations (GPS points) and details of your farm and water source;
  • field visit notes, quotations, installation and service records, warranty details;
  • bills and the payments you make (cash or UPI, recorded by our staff — we never collect card or bank details online).

Information stored in your browser

  • Your language choice (English or Tamil) is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it.
  • Our staff sign-in uses a secure cookie that keeps staff logged in. It is not set for website visitors.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2. How we use your information

  • to answer your enquiry and contact you by phone or WhatsApp about it;
  • to plan field visits, prepare quotations, install and service your system;
  • to prepare bills, record payments and keep the accounts the law requires;
  • to follow up on service and payments for your system.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

3. The farm map on our website

Our homepage shows a map of farms where we have installed or serviced systems. It shows only a pin at the farm's location — never your name, phone number or other details. If you would prefer your farm not to appear on the map, tell us and we will remove it.

4. Who we share information with

  • Our staff — only the team members who handle your enquiry, installation, service or billing.
  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as our website hosting and WhatsApp when we message you. The maps on our site load map images from OpenStreetMap and Esri, which receive your device's internet address like any website would.
  • Manufacturers of equipment we install, only when needed to handle a warranty claim.
  • Government authorities, when the law requires it (for example tax records).

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to follow up, and customer records for as long as you are our customer and your system is under warranty or service. Bills and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require, even after you stop being a customer.

6. How we protect it

Customer records are stored in our secure business system. Only staff with a password-protected account can see them, each person sees only what their role needs, and important changes are logged.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you;
  • correct or update it;
  • delete it, unless we must keep it by law (for example bills);
  • stop contacting you about new offers (withdraw your consent).

Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Children

This website and our services are meant for farmers and businesses, not for children under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. See also our Terms of Service.
